I've developed a small tool improving Jad decompilation results. It's easy to use - just process the classes with it before running Jad. More info on jadretro.sf.net site...

Hi Srinivasan,
I saw a post in Seam's forum where you were asking some question regarding POJO webservices in JBoss Seam.

Did you manage to make it work?

Regards,

Nico

2009 Jan15. It is a really great heading "As I Learn". It is a beautiful image. Did you take the photograph? It looks like a really great place to be and I wonder what it is like when the sun shines. I have just found your page by accident when researching the use of IP address 0.0.0.0. I will be back to have a look leter at your other posts. Judging by the dates you are now into your fourth year. Do you ever look back at your previous posts to see how far you may have travelled? I should imagine that a lot has changed since you first started :-)

Take care and carry on learning as it makes life fun. I have just downloaded the latest Java releases and am looking forward playing with the new code.

All the best
VA.

yes you are right. That's all. You can run ipconfig command in windows; or ifconfig on linux to get the current list of such ip addresses.

Hi! I was looking for meaning of 0.0.0.0 and you was so clear!

Please tell me if it is ok:

0.0.0.0 includes:

1) localhost 127.0.0.1
2) IPs of every fisical NIC installed (like 192.168.0.X)
3) IPs of every virtual NIC (for example of any VM running)

Is it right?
Any other possibilities?!
Thank you for all anyway!
James

I had never thought about using batch files to open files ... thanks for the great idea.

Here is a slightly longer version which supports file and directory names with spaces and outputs the file to the current directory. You can customize the desired extension for the resulting decompiled source file. It also uses START when calling textpad so no console window remains open

===jadOpen.bat===
@echo off

setlocal

REM
REM Customize the ouput below
REM

REM Sets the output to the current directory (directory the class file is in)
REM (could do %TEMP% for temp ... or put anything else you want ... no quotes!)
SET OUTPUT_DIR=%CD%

REM sets the desired file extension of the generated file
REM (might be dangerous to set to java ... could overwrite your source file)
SET OUTPUT_FILE_EXTENSION=jad.java

REM
REM Do the work
REM

SET JAD_OUTPUT_FE=jad
SET OUTPUT_NAME_JAD=%~n1.%JAD_OUTPUT_FE%
SET OUTPUT_NAME_USER=%~n1.%OUTPUT_FILE_EXTENSION%
SET OUTPUT_PATH_JAD="%OUTPUT_DIR%\%OUTPUT_NAME_JAD%"
SET OUTPUT_PATH_USER="%OUTPUT_DIR%\%OUTPUT_NAME_USER%"

jad -o -d"%OUTPUT_DIR%" %1

MOVE /Y %OUTPUT_PATH_JAD% %OUTPUT_PATH_USER%

START /D"C:\Program Files\TextPad 4\" Textpad.exe %OUTPUT_PATH_USER%

endlocal

@echo on
